Crap Cycle Lanes of Croydon

Cycle use is rising in London following the introduction of the congestion charge, not because of the London Cycle Network. This blog is a commentary on the 45 miles of substandard cycle facilities in Croydon.

MP's gift of a motor vehicle

LOONY Lib Dem Lembit Opik has been busy plugging the Segway stand-on scooter.

Not only was he on GMTV yesterday promoting it, he also held a debate on it in Parliament.

Why is Lembit going on and on about this strange device?

A closer look at the list of gifts he has recently received shows that he accepted a free Segway Personal Transporter only two months ago. Voila!

What the Sun didn't tell you was how he has previously claimed that he risked arrest for using his (free) Segway, but there is a report on Indymedia that was involved in the arrest of a nearby protester, so he could plug this idiotic motor vehicle on TV.

Why can't somebody buy him a £7,000 bicycle instead?
